We at The Alphabet Tree stress the importance of education for the students within our center. We know that the educational foundation that is established while the children are young will help them excel in the future. This featured report from the NBC Nightly News suggests that the reach is much farther than most thought. " Duke University researchers found that pre-k education makes a difference in reading, writing and arithmetic and that those benefits last much longer than previously thought — through eighth grade and possibly even beyond. " So, not only are the children playing and interacting with each other to build their social skills, they are building that strong foundation that will be built upon once they enter school! If you would like more information regarding our Pre-K program at The Alphabet Tree, please contact us to learn more.

What better way to help spread some holiday cheer than to have our Preschool and Pre-K classes sing some Christmas carols! The children from both classrooms have been practicing their singing skills, while learning the lyrics to some holiday songs, so that they could bring smiles to the faces of the staff and younger children in our center. The Alphabet Tree teachers have been working with the children to prepare for this fun and festive event. We think the Preschool and Pre-k students looked and sounded great while they sang their hearts out. We are so proud of all of the children.

The Alphabet Tree sent off many cards that the children and staff made and families brought in! This was our first time participating in this wonderful program to send holiday cheer and warm thoughts to our service men and women. We are so proud to take part in helping others and spreading kindness. These are the types of lessons that we want the children of The Alphabet Tree to learn, in addition to our educational curriculum!
